85th Edition of the Know India Programme (KIP)
(06 January – 27 January 2026)

The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, is pleased to announce the 85th edition of the Know India Programme (KIP), scheduled to be held from 06 January to 27 January 2026, alongside the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026.

The Know India Programme (KIP) is a flagship initiative of the Ministry that aims to reconnect Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) in the age group of 21–35 years with their roots and to introduce them to India’s rich cultural heritage and ongoing developmental journey.

Participants of the 85th KIP will also take part in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026, the second edition of the reimagined National Youth Festival aligned with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. Building on the success of VBYLD 2025, this edition continues to celebrate Yuva Shakti through innovation, leadership, and collaboration.

Through this immersive programme, participants will experience diverse aspects of contemporary India including its art, culture, economy, innovations, start-ups, science, and technology and will have the unique opportunity to interact with youth leaders from across India during the VBYLD, in the presence of the Hon’ble Prime Minister.

Since its inception in 2003–04, the Ministry has successfully organized 83 editions of the KIP, with the participation of 2,959 PIO youth from around the world.
