88th Edition of the Know India Programme (KIP)

The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, is pleased to announce the 88th Edition of the Know India Programme (KIP).

The Know India Programme (KIP) is a flagship initiative launched in 2003–04 to strengthen the connection of Indian diaspora youth with their roots and provide exposure to India’s cultural heritage, development, innovation ecosystem, and contemporary achievements.

This edition of the programme is designed for Young Professional  of Indian origin in the age group of 24–28 years under two categories:

Participants will gain exposure to:

  • India’s culture, heritage, governance, and development journey

  • Innovation, entrepreneurship, science and technology

  • Interactions with institutions, industry leaders, and youth across India

  • Visits to different States/UTs to experience India’s diversity

Eligibility

Applicants should be PIOs, OCIs, or NRIs, possess proficiency in English, and should not have previously participated in KIP or any Government of India-funded programme.

  • Passport copy

  • Passport-size photograph

  • OCI/PIO details or declaration of Indian origin

  • Proof of NRI status (if applicable)

Selected participants must also submit a medical fitness certificate and travel/medical insurance.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be:

  • Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)

  • Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs)

  • Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)

Young Professionals: 24–28 years

  • Minimum qualification: Graduation from a recognized University/Institute

Documents Required

  • Passport-size photograph

  • OCI/PIO details or declaration of Indian origin

  • Proof of NRI status (if applicable)

Selected participants must also submit a medical fitness certificate and travel/medical insurance.
