Embassy as the nodal point for Yoga Certification Board (YCB)

Subject: Embassy of India as the nodal point for  Certification of Yoga Professionals

To further the promotion of Yoga abroad, ICCR has become the Personnel Certification Body (Pr.CB) of the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) of India. The Indian Embassy in Lisbon, as other Indian Embassies all over the world, has now become Nodal points for certification of Yoga professionals.  The Embassy is now eligible to conduct YCB certification exams for Yoga professionals under the following four categories:

Yoga Volunteer (YV) - Syllabus prescribed by YCB for YV certification is attached. No exam is required for certification for Yoga Volunteer. The candidate who has 80% attendance in the Yoga classes prescribed shall be eligible for certification.

Yoga Protocol Instructor (YPI)– Syllabus prescribed by YCB for YPI certification is attached. The Embassy in Ankara will conduct assessment as per YCB guidelines.

Yoga Wellness Instructor (YWI)– Syllabus prescribed by YCB for YWI certification is attached. Missions will conduct assessment as per YCB guidelines.

Yoga Teacher & Evaluator (YTE)– Syllabus prescribed by YCB for YTE certification is attached. Missions will conduct assessment as per YCB guidelines.

Embassy will also conduct Yoga Education programme- As the certificates awarded to the qualified Yoga Professionals under the above mentioned four categories (i-iv above) are valid for certain period of time, YCB provides an opportunity to the qualified candidates for renewal of their certificates by appearing in Continuing Yoga Education (CYE) programme.
