Advisory regarding Consular Services

The Embassy has continued to physically receive applicants for various consular services while giving due consideration to COVID protocols, rules and regulations to ensure the safety of applicants as well as Consular officials.
2. It is expected of visitors to follow the timings for appointments to avoid crowding and delays.
3. Senior citizens, pregnant ladies, childrens, persons with disabilities and severe illness may wait inside the consular area of the Embassy when they come for their appointment.
4. Only those with appointments may be allowed inside the Embassy. Please do not send documents by post to avail of any service.
5. It is once again reiterated that the Embassy’s SAMPARK system for providing appointments is free and open to all and there no agents to book these appoointments. The appointments can be made as per the following schedule by visiting the Embassy’s website (https://www.eoilisbon.gov.in/sampark/login.php):

6. An email may be sent to cons.lisbon@mea.gov.in to request an appointment with the Embassy in case the applicant has a SEF (Foreigners and Borders Service) appointment in the next 10 days. The appointment will be granted on case to case basis if the time slots are available along with the proof of appointment with SEF.
7. The printout of application form along with ORIGINAL and Photocopy of the supporting documents and identity proofs need to be presented to Consular official while applying for services.
8. There might be a delay in processing of applications due to ongoing pandemic situation. This may be kept in mind while applying for any services.
9. Open House Meetings on Consular services on last Wednesday of every month between 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm. (for further information, visit “Important Announcements” section of the Embassy website.) Members of Indian community residing in Portugal are welcome to attend these meetings. Those desiring to participate are requested to send an email to cons.lisbon@mea.gov.in
