In view of the downgrading of the state of Emergency to a state of Calamity by the Government of Portugal and the various containment measures put in place with effect from 3rd May to counter the Covid-19 pandemic, the Embassy of India in Lisbon advises the following, regarding resumption of Consular Services by the Embassy:

(i) Public dealing at the Embassy remains suspended due to the pandemic-related restrictions on public gatherings and mandatory health and safety measures in place.  Kindly note that no physical delivery of documents/collection services will be provided.

(ii) All consular services will be provided to applicants only by Post except services which require physical presence i.e. attestation of documents and urgent reissue of passports. To avoid wrong delivery of Postal services, it is important that applicants indicate their correct and complete postal addressemail and telephone numbers.

(iii) For availing Consular Services by Post please register on our online Consular Services Portal Sampark (https://www.eoilisbon.gov.in/sampark/login.php).

(iv) Sampark Portal is fast, convenient and user-friendly as it saves the applicant's cost of travelling to the Embassy while also providing status updates on the application.

(v) Applicants who require Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) may kindly apply for PCC by Post only 45 days before their SEF appointment in order to avoid lapse of the PCC's validity since SEF does not accept PCCs which are older than 3 months.

(vi) For emergency services, applicants are advised to send their applications by Post and simultaneously contact the Embassy at the following Email ID or by Telephone/WhatsApp, explaining the nature of the emergency:

Emailconspassport.lisbon@mea.gov.in

Telephone - +351-916653752, +351-913299634 (WhatsApp).

On receipt of such emergency requests, the Embassy will contact the applicant regarding further processing of the matter.

(vii) For consular services provided in person (attestation of documents and urgent reissue of passports) applicants will be provided the service by prior appointment through email or telephone and will be required to wear a mask and strictly comply with mandatory hygiene and sanitary instructions in the interest of public health and safety.

(viii) These measures will take effect from 05 May 2020 and will remain in force until further notice.
