Ban on Use of Satellite Phones in India
It has been noticed that some foreigners are carrying satellite phones with them while traveling to India. As per existing guidelines of the Government of India, carrying satellite phones by foreigners into India is banned. All foreign visitors to India are advised not to take these phones with them to India. Failure to do so will result in seizure of these phones by the authorities in India and unauthorized use of satellite telephone services may result in prosecution.

2 - The visa office is located at the Embassy at Rua Pero da Covilha, 16 - Restelo, 1400-297 Lisbon.
3 -Visa applications need to be filled online by completing application form on the website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/.
4 - After filling the visa form online, all applicants need to book an appointment (https://forms.zohopublic.eu/EoILisbon/form/FREEAppointmentforVISAServicesatEoILisbon/formperma
/Mqgl7JRXIwGlCpA090-_VPA2c2bLCLsF6yrvAh_9xH0) for submission of visa application (along with necessary documents and fees) and registration of biometric data. This is a mandatory requirement for all visa applicants.
5 - All payments are accepted in cash and ATM/Multibanco.
6. Refund Policy in case of excess/multiple payments on regular visa and e-Visa

All disputed refund claims will be processed and settled within 07 days of receipt of the request.

In case of disputed claims, Mission will approach Ministry (CPV Division) which will after examination, issue Refund Order or otherwise. All such cases will be completed within 21 days of receipt from the applicant.

No refund claim will be entertained after 3 months of such payment.

7 - Timings for Submission of applications: Visa applications are accepted between 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesdays only.
8 - The timings for collection for Visa are from 09:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays only. For collection, prior appointment is not needed. Please bring the receipt given at the time of submission. Alternatively, these documents can be delivered to you via post. For more details, please ask at Consular staff at the time of submission.
