India Day celebration at Lusófona University in Lisbon.

Embassy of India @indiainportugal, in association with Bhoomi Cultural Association @bhoomiportugal, celebrated India Day at Lusófona University, Lisbon, on 6 September  2025.

The celebration was inaugurated by the Ambassador of India to Portugal, who highlighted the importance of culture in fostering community bonds and spoke about the significance of Operation Sindoor.

The highlight of the event was the special screening of the film on Operation Sindoor, which was received with great appreciation. The programme also featured vibrant cultural performances that beautifully showcased India’s rich traditions and the spirit of unity in diversity. The event reflected the strength of cultural diplomacy and the deep ties between the Indian community and Portugal.
