Spirit of India 2026

Ambassador Puneet Roy Kundal attended the cultural programme titled “Spirit of India 2026”, organized by the Bhoomi Cultural Association in association with the Embassy of India, in the celebration of the 77th Republic Day of India. The event was held at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL) and brought together members of the Indian community and distinguished guests for an evening of cultural expression and national pride.

In his address, Ambassador Kundal spoke about the extraordinary diversity that characterizes India’s art and culture. He underscored how this diversity serves not only as a source of national strength and unity but also as an enduring inspiration for future generations.The Ambassador emphasized India’s vast cultural potential to foster creativity, mutual understanding, and global dialogue, reaffirming the importance of preserving and promoting this rich heritage both within India and across the world.

The programme featured a rich array of artistic performances that highlighted the vibrancy and diversity of India’s cultural heritage. Members of the Indian community presented captivating displays of Indian classical arts, music, and songs, reflecting the depth and continuity of India’s artistic traditions. The evening was further enlivened by an energetic and engaging comedy performance by Mr. Siddhant, which added a dynamic contemporary dimension to the celebration.
