Viksit Bharat Run 2025, 27 September 2025

The Embassy of India, Lisbon, successfully organized the Viksit Bharat Run 2025 at the University of Lisbon Stadium on 27 September 2025, from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.Around 80 participants, including members of the Indian diaspora, Portuguese citizens, University of Lisbon students, and other Europeans, joined the event, reflecting inclusivity and friendship.The program began with the Ambassador’s address on Swachta Pakhwada, Mission LiFE, and the vision of a Viksit Bharat, followed by a collective pledge. The Vice-Rector of the University of Lisbon, Prof. João Alfredo, was present on the occasion.A yoga and stretching session preceded the run, which was flagged off by the Ambassador. Certificates were distributed to all runners, with special prizes for the top three finishers.The event concluded with refreshments and spirited slogans of “Viksit Bharat” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai”, leaving a strong message of health, unity, and shared aspirations.
