Ambassador Engages with Delegation of State Electricity Regulatory Commissioners from India

Ambassador Puneet Roy Kundal held a productive meeting with a distinguished delegation of Commissioners from the Electricity Regulatory Authorities representing seventeen State Governments of India. The delegation was led by the Centre for Energy Regulation at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur).

Ambassador Kundal highlighted India’s strong commitment to sustainable energy development, underscoring ongoing efforts to promote renewable energy, strengthen regulatory frameworks, and support a balanced and forward-looking energy transition. The discussions provided a comprehensive overview of India’s significant advancements and innovations in the electricity sector.

Particular emphasis was placed on the country’s expanding energy capacity, regulatory reforms, and the integration of modern technologies to enhance efficiency and resilience.
