Ambassador of India to Portugal, H.E. Mr. Puneet R. Kundal, and Ambassador of Argentina, H.E. Federico Barttfeld, along with Mr. Gonçalo Amaro, Director of the National Museum of Ethnology, inaugurated a two-day Indo-Argentine Film Festival at the National Museum of Ethnology. Featuring the films Tango Malhar and Thinking of Him, the festival celebrated artistic collaboration through cinema, storytelling, and cultural exchange that transcends borders and time. The well-attended event was warmly appreciated by members of Portuguese society, the diplomatic corps, and art lovers.

Addressing the gathering, the Ambassador of India highlighted the ongoing film festival initiatives over the past year and expressed his sincere gratitude to the Government of Argentina and the National Museum of Ethnology for their valuable support and efforts in making the event possible.

Tango Malhar is a poetic cinematic exploration that weaves together Indian classical music and Argentine tango, symbolizing a dialogue between two rich cultural traditions and highlighting the universal language of rhythm and emotion.

Thinking of Him, directed by Argentine filmmaker Mr. Pablo César, is a reflective and sensitively crafted film that brings together two cultures separated by thousands of miles yet deeply connected through shared ideas and emotions. Exploring themes of memory, identity, and human connection, the film demonstrates how cinema can transcend geography and foster meaningful intercultural dialogue.
