First ever Three Day Indian Film Festival in Porto, 12-14 September 2025

Ambassador @prkundal inaugurated the three-day Indian Film Festival in Porto, organised as part of the ongoing celebrations of 50 years of diplomatic relations between India and Portugal.The festival opened with a vibrant Indian cultural dance performance, setting the stage for an enriching cinematic and cultural journey. The event was organised in association with @comunidadehinduporto, Municipality of Porto, @agoraporto, @batalhacentrodecinema, @zariyaworld, and BMAG Porto.

The inaugural screening drew a full house audience, reflecting not only the popularity of Indian cinema but also the growing appreciation for cultural exchanges that strengthen the deep bonds of friendship between India and Portugal.

The Film Festival will continue over the next two days, showcasing a diverse selection of Indian films that highlight the richness of India’s storytelling traditions and its cultural vibrancy.
