Ambassador Puneet Roy Kundal met with a group of twelve hospitality-sector students from Portugal who will be undertaking a three-week training programme at the Salgaonkar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE) in Goa. The programme is being conducted under the framework of a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reflecting the shared commitment of both sides to strengthening institutional cooperation and academic exchange.

During the meeting, the Ambassador underscored the importance of people-to-people connections as a cornerstone of the India–Portugal bilateral relationship. He emphasized that youth exchanges, in particular, serve as a vital bridge between societies, nurturing mutual understanding, cultural appreciation, and long-term collaboration. Such initiatives, he noted, not only enhance academic and professional competencies but also contribute to deepening the enduring ties of friendship between the two nations.

The engagement reaffirmed the shared vision of both countries to promote educational mobility and institutional cooperation, further strengthening the foundation of bilateral relations through dynamic and forward-looking partnerships.
