Visit of Indian textile delegation to Portugal (17.06.2019)

1. On 17 June, the Embassy, in association with AEP, organised Business Interaction meetings for a visiting Indian textile delegation from TEXPROCIL at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Porto. Approximately 50 people attended the event to explore the business opportunities available in the textile sector in India.

2. The visiting Indian textile delegation also visited two textile companies, Adalberto and Riopele, to have a first-hand experience on Portuguese textile know-how and expertise.

3. The Embassy, in collaboration with Portuguese Textile Association (ATP), also organised B2B meetings at CITEVE, Vila Nova de Famalicão (a hub for the Portuguese textile industry) for the Indian delegation to explore business opportunities available in Portugal as well as in the EU market. The B2B event was attended and addressed by the CEO of CITEVE, and the President, Vice-President and Director General of ATP, as well as the Chairman and Executive Director of TEXPROCIL and the First Secretary of the Embassy.
