Promotion of Khadi at the 56th edition of Modtissimo in Porto (23.09.2020)

On 23-24 September 2020, the Embassy of India participated in the 56th edition of the Modtissimo fair in Porto to exhibit a selection of Khadi products supplied by the Khadi Villages and Industries Commission (KVIC). Held biannually in Porto, Modtissimo is one of the most prominent textile and fashion fairs on the Iberian Peninsula. It was the third time since 2018 that the Embassy was present to showcase Khadi products at the fair, which on this occasion took place in the imposing Alfândega (Customs) building on the banks of the River Douro. The Embassy's Khadi stall was visited by dozens of local visitors and international business representatives as well as by the Secretary of State for Internationalisation, Dr Eurico Brilhante Dias. The exhibition took place in full compliance with applicable Covid-19 restrictions.
