Glimpses of International Lusophone Festival 2022, Goa ( 3-6 December, 2022)

The International Lusophone Festival 2022 held at Garcia de Orta Garden, Panji, Goa concluded recently. The three-day festival strengthened the ties with the Lusophone countries. The festival showcased our deep cultural ties with the Portuguese-speaking countries.

The Goa's traditional brass band played in festivals and marriage ceremonies; A unique performance by the Capoeira group from Goa who enthralled the audience with their Brazilian martial art fused into dance, acrobatics, music, and spirituality.

Timor-Leste and Guinea Bissau performed too. Yolanda from the Mozambique band Kakana rendered mesmerizing songs that reverberated in the garden far and wide and touched the audience's hearts.

The engaging performance by the famous fado singer, Sonia Shirsat and music curator Reple took center stage.

The festival witnessed a large number of visitors taking part in this cultural extravaganza.
