He addressed pressing strategic issues including India’s response to cross-border terrorism, specifically referring to the tragic 22 April killings in Pahalgam, as well as India's proactive neighborhood-first policy and its broader global strategic engagements. The Ambassador underscored India’s commitment to regional stability, sovereignty, and a rules-based international order.

The event witnessed the participation of distinguished academicians and scholars from both India and Portugal, fostering a spirit of academic and cultural exchange. The day-long celebrations also featured a vibrant cultural program showcasing the diversity of Indian performing arts, a curated selection of Indian cuisine, and the screening of an Indian film that captivated the audience.

The celebration served as a significant platform to deepen mutual understanding, strengthen academic partnerships, and celebrate the rich civilizational ties that unite India and Portugal.
