Tribute paid to Mario Miranda's 99th Birth anniversary at embassy of India, Lisbon

Embassy of India, Lisbon (@IndiainPortugal) proudly celebrated the 99th birth anniversary of legendary Goan cartoonist Mario Miranda with the vibrant Goa, Daman and Diu community of Portugal.

The event was graced by family members of the great artist, who has been honoured by both the Governments of India and Portugal for his enduring contributions to art and culture.

The celebration featured a documentary screening "The World of Mario", Goan music, and heartfelt tributes to Miranda’s rich legacy that captured the essence of Goa, Bombay, and even his early impressions of Lisbon.

In a moment of solemn reflection, the Ambassador, Embassy officials, and members of the Indian community also paid tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack—expressing solidarity with the bereaved families and honouring the memory of the innocent lives lost.
